Internal parts of Long-Phosphorescent glass, electron moves because of light energy. Electrons are temporarily stored, called trap. By moving back to original position gradually, we infer that it emits in long term.

Further note
  • When temperature of Long-Phosphorescent glass is high, luminescence gets dark. Thus, emitting times gets shorten.
  • When the glass stores light, it turns yellow. But, as it irradiates, the color gets pale along with emitting.
